Why: I believe I actu­ally rec­om­mended this gig the first time it was meant to hap­pen in April, and this time is no excep­tion. After more than a month of tour­ing around this coun­try, Rus­tic is back in the cap­i­tal to finally cel­e­brate their debut album on their home turf. It should be an incred­i­ble, fun show — Rus­tic are some great per­form­ers, and always a good time. I saw Bird­strik­ing for the first time at last weekend’s show, and wasn’t impressed, but hope­fully at a dif­fer­ent gig with a dif­fer­ent vibe, my impres­sion will be changed. And I’m ever-curious about the secret guest. Can’t wait to see who’s been added to the lineup.

This week­end is pretty slow com­pared to the Dragon Boat fes­tiv­i­ties of last week­end, but there are a cou­ple of notable run­ners up: Hang on the Box & Pacalolo at Mao Live­house on Fri­day, 9:30PM, 50/40RMB; and the I Rap For Orphans char­ity show at Dos Kole­gas on Sun­day, from 3PM, 60/30RMB going to a good cause.
