Festival News: Strawberry Festival 2010 *UPDATED*

So, typically, just days after I realized that I should be keeping my finger on the pulse of Strawberry Festival, they announce the participating bands. The lineup looks amazing; I recognize most of the Chinese band names on there, and the ones I haven’t seen before I am excited to have the chance to see. The foreign acts also promise to be brilliant, pulling Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Xiu Xiu (again), Liquid Architecture, and Radio4, amongst others. And at ¥80/day, there is absolutely no reason not to go every day.

The highlights for me, though?

草莓舞台/Strawberry Stage (big hitters):
bigger bang!, Queen Sea Big Shark, Tang Dynasty, The Life Journey, Catcher In The Rye, Pet Conspiracy, Peng Tan, New Pants.

爱舞台/Love Stage (the second string):
AV Okubo, Zhou Yunpeng, Carsick Cars, Xiaohe, Confucius Says, Guaili, Supermarket Hedgehog.

豆瓣舞台/Douban Stage (internet favorites):
Lazy Camels, Dingke, Matiao, Li Mo, Autumn Today.

校园舞台/University Stage (uni bands):
Ci Qin, The Bedstars, Cassette, The Quarter, Mr. Graceless.

I have no opinion on the Electronic or Heavy Metal stages, but if the others are anything to go by, you’re going to be getting an amazing lineup if you’re into those genres as well. I am ridiculously excited for this. I don’t know about you, but I’m buying tickets as soon as I can.
